Our jewels are designed and handcrafted with great care and attention, and there may be slight variations due to their artisanal nature and unique textures. They are made of sterling silver (925) with a 3-micron silver or gold plating.
Silver is a natural and precious metal that will naturally darken over time. This is a characteristic natural process of the metal. The speed of this process depends on multiple factors, such as oxidation from the oxygen in the atmosphere reacting with the metal, as well as the use of chemicals on the skin, such as creams and perfumes. Additionally, the level of body sweat or even the individual's skin pH can also affect the process.
All finishes will degrade with use, friction, and the passage of time. Pay special attention to gold-plated rings and bracelets. The lifespan of these pieces, to keep them in perfect condition for as long as possible, will depend on these factors and how you use the jewelry.
If you need to restore your pieces, we offer a service for that purpose. Taking care of them will help you maintain them in perfect condition, and you can preserve their original appearance by following these tips:
I. Put on your jewelry after getting ready and applying perfume, and remove them first to prevent them from getting caught and possibly breaking or becoming damaged.
II. We do not recommend wearing them in the shower, pool, sea, or while doing household chores. Salt, chlorine, and chemicals, in general, can damage our pieces.
III. These are delicate pieces and may be affected after continuous use with liquids such as perfumes, creams, or oils. Exposure to certain environments can also compromise the integrity of your jewelry, including your own perspiration (sweat). We recommend removing any jewelry before engaging in physical activities or going to sleep.
IV. If your jewelry has darkened over time, you can restore its original tone by soaking the pieces in warm water with neutral soap or baking soda for a few minutes. Gently scrub them with a soft brush and rinse them delicately with warm water. Then, dry them with a soft cloth.
V. Always store your jewelry away from damp spaces, such as a bathroom, and keep them away from direct sunlight. Ideally, use a jewelry box with individual airtight plastic bags for each piece.
